We're reviving the tradition of learning in the schoolhouse this winter semester with Friends of Holly Hill Farm!
Join us for enriching and hands-on educational workshops focused on the fundamentals of sustainable and responsible growing at home, eating locally and seasonally, and caring for the natural world. Explore topics like: Planting Native Seeds in Winter, Seed Starting and Crop Rotation and Build Your Own Soil Workshop.

January 28 - Planting Native Seeds in Winter
Learn about Native seeds and actively take part in sowing seeds now for Spring growth and long term planting. We will plant a variety of flowers and have many to take home too.
February 11 - Seed Planning and Crop Rotation
Get ready to get out in your garden this spring by learning about early crop seeding, season extension, and how to craft a plan for success that will maximize your growing space. Participants will get personalized guidance on crop selection, seedling care, early planting practices, and how to transition seasonal crops in a way that boosts productivity and preserves soil health.
February 25 - Build Your Own Soil Workshop
Learn how to craft and care for one of our most vital natural resources, soil! Participants will learn how to perform an initial soil assessment, get guidance on how to get and interpret lab based soil tests, and craft their own sustainable growing media that can be used for seedling, house plants, window boxes, and more!
