In The Beginning...

And so it begins. I have to be honest, I’ve been thinking about this moment for a long time.  It’s always been my dream to open a brewery (said everyone who’s ever had a late night drinking with friends), and even when I quit my desk job in 2014 to become a brewer, I often thought of the day when I would formally announce my plans to open my own brewery.

During the two years I spent as a commercial brewer in Seattle, I had a five-year plan in place and knew what I had to do to make this dream a reality.  During those two years, I was always studying and learning the latest advancements and improvements in craft brewing.  I was always seeking out new beers from my favorite breweries.  I was constantly visiting the newest breweries wherever I went.  And I started what soon became a mile-long list of ideas that I wanted to implement when I finally made the jump to start my own brewery.

And here we go.

If you are unfamiliar with Untold Brewing or are visiting this site for the first time, you probably have some questions about the brewery and who we are.

In short, we are a family-run brewery coming to Scituate, MA.  I grew up in Scituate so naturally it was the first choice when deciding on location.

In the weeks and months ahead, we will provide more details about the brewery, the taproom, the actual location, etc.  But the most important thing you need to know right now is we will make some damn good beer.  We will focus on styles we like to brew and take much of our inspiration from styles of the pacific northwest – think hoppy, aromatic, bold, innovative, and most importantly, delicious.

We are just getting started, but we promise there is nothing but great times ahead.  We are close to securing our location in Scituate and it’s going to be amazing.  We can already see it as a gathering place for our community, where people can stop by for a pint, sample our latest carbonated creation, and take the freshest beer home to enjoy with family and friends.

Untold Brewing’s story has only just begun and we look forward to sharing each chapter with you as we forge ahead.  Please check back often or follow us on social media for updates, info, and other brewery news.

Cheers!

Matt
